istock_000003820420xsmallToday the Lord’s church is confronted on all sides by  howling mobs of doctrinal error concerning the ‘end times’. For example, in recent months we have presented a series of articles on the  spurious A.D. 70 theory.  We hope that you have  found them timely and beneficial.

The main texts from which the erroneous A.D. 70 theory arises (Matt. 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21) have been a battle ground of heated theological dispute for centuries.

From infidel philosophers (like Bertram Russell and Albert Schweitzer) to rabid premillennialists (like Hal Lindsey and John Hagee), some of the most wild and radical ideas ever espoused have sprung forth from misinterpretation of these  passages.

What do churches of Christ believe about the second coming of Christ, the judgment, the end of the world, and the resurrection? Well, the churches of Christ have no statement of faith beyond the Bible itself, so what do the scriptures say on this matter? As part of our series on end times we offer this historic volume by the late brother Thomas L. Shaw.

Brother Shaw was a respected student of the Bible whose study and knowledge on this matter will be invaluable to any sincere reader’s investigation. We commend it to you with great confidence.
